this will not be a concern anytime in the near future thanks in part to windows 10 consumer esu updates and the ltsc and ltsb releases which should keep old hardware running until at most 2031 at the latest

for as long as i can remember both windows 8 and haswell were considered terrible for there time periods with windows 8 feeling to modern and ahead of its time and haswell cpus having a reputation for overheating constantly well i can officially say that those rumors are false as my computer has been running both a haswell i5 and windows 8 perfectly fine together for almost a year now what im trying to say is you cant judge something just by what others say they saw happen do some research and you will fine its the complete opposite of what has been said since 2014

being 24 almost 25 next march Ive had alot of ups and down that alot of you here have felt or seen happen.. after using older versions of windows 10 like 1903 i can definitely tell that what people have been calling it like "telemetry bloater" "resource hogger" and many others names Ive seen it called around the internet its actually not as bad as everyone makes it out to be yes it does have telemetry but compared to windows 11 the issues with 10 are pretty much minimal now we need to stop promoting older windows as the gateway to perfect computing and start using windows 10 more as it deserves more that the name calling its been given on a daily basis

I'm just glad that internet archive was not the next website to be plunged into the blackhole of history just yet

as of a few weeks ago internet archive has been brought back online and seems to be running pretty stable now without errors

it's been reported quite a bit over the past few years of the trials of getting vista working on 4th gen hadware and the problems of attempting to use it and more research needs done into this but is there a possible fix or workaround being worked on for this issue? as it's not been discussed in full since 2016 and it would be nice to have an option to get it working

that is yet to still be tested but as its "warez" i will not be discussing it further on here

well bad news everyone.. from recent youtube videos I've watched recently (from early september) there has been reports that the server 2012 updates on have since been entirely blocked from installing on windows 8 and making then completely unusable anymore.. microsoft released somekind of past end of support update to patch the registry function that allowed this so they can't run anymore

before i was unbanned here and given a second chance i was a really terrible forum member in more way then i should of o spammed posts with nonesense and argued with d.draker over useless things like accusing others of spying on us i purposely started drama with the whole do i talk good english thread i made back when i first started here ive not been a good person to anyone and i wanted to apologise for my strange actions on here and hope i did not cause permanent damage for it

my phone is pretty old by modern standards but still seems to be able to use browsers pretty well without issues or blurring

i recently went with a r7 240 gpu for my dell optiplex 9020 build and it's actually done really well as a youtube streamer

i recently bought a new powercolor radeon r7 240 gpu for my optiplex desktop but found out it only has windows 10 drivers since it's based of the original architecture of the original 240 would it be possible to get the official drivers from amd to work on it? if anyone has some tips or experience with drivers and modding it would help alot if i could get this working (p.s the gpu is Oland architecture)

Update : Sep 10 2024: after a year i finally have a sturdy dell optiplex 9020 sff desktop without legacy windows support and so for it runs as smooth as butter and has not given me any issues

im actually a member on planet minecraft and recently they seem to be going thru a shrinking problem as of the past 3 years

its all the little annoyances like the new start menu windows copilot being a thing now plus many others im just not a windows fanboy in general anymore

i never really thought anything could but with linux being at 4% usage as of february it seemed pretty likely

with the state that windows 11 is currently in as well as recent poor choices by microsoft itself what will the future hold for windows as an os? please put your answer here

i forgot this thread existed and it has some pretty good information now that will help alot with getting xp fully compatible
